Young people thrive when they feel heard, valued, and involved in shaping their experiences. This interactive workshop introduces Ask, Listen, Create, a model to a creative approach to co-designing programming with youth input and imagination at the center. Participants will explore what it truly means to listen beyond surface-level responses and practice active listening techniques tailored to different age groups. Through hands-on activities and collaborative creation, participants will learn how to turn youth interests, ideas, and feedback into engaging, youth-centered experiences. This session moves beyond theory and into practical tools that can be implemented immediately. Whether you're new to youth work or a seasoned practitioner, you'll leave with strategies to make your programming more responsive, relevant, and empowering.
This event is virtual, free, and open to all youth development professionals and community members.
